“惹祸”元凶正是李咏随口改的这句“八百里秦川尘土飞扬，三千万懒汉高唱秦腔”。在陕西地区，常说的俗语是“八百里秦川尘土飞扬，三千万老陕齐吼秦腔”。虽然也有其他的版本，但“懒汉”却绝对是临时“创作”的。节目播出后，这段“懒汉幽默”立刻引起轩然大波，网上一片声讨之声，纷纷要求李咏为此道歉，还有陕西观众用“空气报告”回应李咏的“尘土飞扬”，称这已经成为过去，更有人提出《陕西省经济增长质量的评价和分析》来驳斥李咏的“懒汉”说。
