由中国作家协会会员、宁夏作协副主席火仲舫创作的长篇小说《花旦》出版后，备受读者青睐，一些影视公司也将对此作品看好。目前已有影视公司与作者达成协议，欲将整部小说中上部
拍成影视作品。然而协议已经有半年了，由于受资金短缺影响，影视剧《花旦》迟迟不能开机拍摄。
小说《花旦》共60章80万字，分上、中、下三卷，是宁夏目前已出版的篇幅最长的长篇小说。作品以大西北腹地西海固一个名叫红城子的村庄为中心，辐射大西北乃至全国，以一支民间秦腔戏班的活动为经线，以众多民俗活动为纬线，以艺名为“勾魂娃”的当家花旦齐翠花及其家人的命运为主旨构建小说文本。
小说《花旦》出版后，也受到了影视公司的青睐，北京虎林、西安天宇等9家影视公司纷纷与火仲舫联系，欲将其拍摄成影视作品。最后福州华威影视公司与火仲舫达成协议：制片方投资80万元，另一方投资70万元，共同组织拍摄，外景选在固原拍摄，剧中女主角齐翠花拟由国家一级演员、中国戏剧梅花奖得主、中国秦腔四大名旦柳萍主演，影片中有关秦剧的各角色由银川市、固原市秦剧团演员担任。
今年3月份与影视公司达成协议后，火仲舫就开始着手改编剧本，5月份剧本完成，并报送中央电视台电影频道审批。原计划于8月份开机拍摄，由于70万元的拍摄费无处筹集，致使开机时间一再拖延。“影视剧《花旦》把秦腔和回族花儿搬上银幕，对于扩大人们对秦腔和花儿的了解，提高地方知名度都是非常好的宣传”，火仲舫说，影视剧《花旦》如能预期完成拍摄，将在中央电视电影频道首播。
