上方一飞，手指拈出一个形，嘴唇轻启、微笑，整个人突然就光彩夺目，极具魅惑性。我终于相信有人天生就是为舞台而生，比如田蔓莎。
其实这不需要我来说，田蔓莎自己早已经证明了。她用数个国家艺术大奖来证明几十年前那个考不上省川剧学校的少女，理应骄傲地站在舞台上；她也用满世界的行走，来证明传统的川剧依然能够在现代的舞台上亮相。虽然后面这道证明题，田蔓莎做得令人瞠目结舌，险象环生。有时候我真的无法想象，像她这样一个在传统戏曲中从少年浸泡到中年的内地演员，接受的是那么正统的教育，怎么就能够从一个极端到另一个极端呢？是什么样的精神和力量在推动着她的前进？
如果要有答案，我相信是两个字——舞台。“底幕拉开后，露出一面巨大的玻璃，外面是花园，明亮的阳光照耀着花园里的喷水池、鲜艳的花朵，整个舞台上只有我一个人，真的有梦幻般的感觉。”这是田蔓莎在葡萄牙的一次演出，那个舞台令她刻骨铭心。
那么，不去做实验川剧的话，田蔓莎的舞台肯定会越来越少，因为传统川剧的舞台已经越来越少，这是事实。我猜，她所有的勇气都是来自对更多更大舞台的渴望，因为她是舞台的女人，舞台是田蔓莎身体里面最强烈的欲望。
舞台自然也不能拒绝这样的女人。今年3月，田蔓莎和中国另外四个传统剧种的演员登上了德国柏林世界文化中心的舞台。作为全世界惟一的世界文化中心，这里是世界文化艺术交流的一个非常重要的场所，也是推动当代艺术和关注传统艺术发展的一个重要创作基地。田蔓莎在这个舞台上演了实验川剧《情叹》、《打神》、《痴梦》，让那些从来没有到过中国四川成都的西方人，看到了川剧，因为实验，也看懂了川剧。
