不讲、不唱、不做地站在那里，没有一定功力的话，真的静不下来。不仅仅是我，后来参与实验的传统戏曲演员，都遇到了这样的问题。不动，手脚都没有放处，因为心里没有一种力量来控制身体。
记：这样一个失败的开始对你产生了什么样的影响？
田：这段经历对我很重要，我明白了一个道理：做起来很顺手的东西，可能不一定是新的，因为顺手的肯定是习惯的，人只有在改变的时候，才会感觉不顺。那之后，他们又给了我新的题目，《一桌二椅》、《华丽缘》、《四大发明》，这四个作品我开始都不顺，有抵触情绪，慢慢试着去做，做到最后，都得到一些经验。到2001年我做《思凡》，才得到了一个很大的突破，终于明白自己应该从传统中去寻找一些东西来发展。顺着这个思路，2002年我做了实验川剧《痴梦》，它应该是我第一部成熟的作品。
记：你现在能够给实验川剧一个定义吗？
田：我们试着拿一些东西或者元素去发展川剧，就是实验。
和世界交流
记：我看媒体报道，在3月份的德国世界艺术中心演出时，你的实验川剧是最受西方观众欢迎的演出。为什么呢？
田：客观地讲，还是我个人因素占的比重比较大。你要知道，传统的川剧戏曲也有很多人在创作，但是我们不了解别人，有时候也不完全了解自己，这种情况下创作的作品，近乎闭门造车。从1999年以后，我跟国外的艺术家交流很多，这种交流不是一般出国访问演出那种，是直接跟艺术家交流，跟艺术机构的负责人交流，知道他们是怎么在看待现代艺术，怎么看待中国的传统文化，怎么看待中国艺术在国外的演出。他们给我很多例子，比如我们喜欢到国外去办中国艺术节、文化节，这种时候，政府一般都会选择中国的民族舞蹈或者动作性强的武打戏出去，结果给西方观众造成一个印象：好像中国戏曲都是杂耍，中国的东西拿出去都是红的绿的，舞台上很鲜艳。这些刚开始时很稀奇，但他们是当作异国风情来看，而不是站在文化和艺术的角度来看你。我开始思考：我到底要给人家看什么？
记：你给他们看了什么？
田：一开始就是一束光照着我的脚，从一只脚进入，我要让他们看到传统记忆在我肢体当中的各种表现方式，同时看到川剧的训练过程，一个艺术家怎么走进她的传统艺术，走进去以后她成长的每个阶段的过程。通过分解，他们完全看懂了。其实我里面呈现的东西都是传统的，关键是要找到一种方法让他们来理解。
记：你在国外讲川剧的时候，会不会告诉他们，其实在成都，年轻人很少去看川剧？
田：肯定要告诉他们。但我也会说，传统艺术必须要靠艺术家去坚守和坚持。
三次落榜
记：看你现在的一切，真不敢相信当年你考川剧学校，居然三次落榜。
田：我考的时候是1978年，文化大革命刚刚结束，之前10年没有招生，中国已经积累了很多艺术人才。和好多人相比，我根本不起眼，个子不高，也不漂亮，考不上太正常了。但是我这人有一点好，就是遇到困难不害怕，一看落榜了，想都没有想去怄气，马上打听：“老师，你们明年还招生吗？”（笑）得到肯定的答案后，我说：“好，明年再来。”转头就走了。
记：结果第二次依然落榜。
田：我又问：还招吗？他们说，恐怕只有区级剧团还在招了。我就去报考了重庆沙坪坝川剧团。这样连考三次，连降三级，从省到市最后是区，才算是上了 上一页 [1] [2] [3] [4] 下一页
