还是现代民族歌剧《野火春风斗古城》，很多过去认为不能变的‘经典’，这次从故事情节到舞美包装都做了许多改动。河北梆子《窦娥冤》加入了‘探监’一段，强化了悲剧‘感天动地’的一面；歌剧《野火春风斗古城》抛弃了‘脸谱化’的套路，让伪团长关敬陶区别于日伪汉奸，为其最终弃暗投明做了很好的铺垫。而越剧《阿育王》则用婉约的越剧塑造了印度的一代君王，印度服装打扮的阿育王的确出人意料、吸引了观众的眼球。”
最低票价才10元
此次戏剧节虽然是按照市场化方式运作的，但又实行的是低票价策略，最低票价仅仅10元。对于当地观众不太熟悉的地方剧种，以送票为主，比如婺剧专场优先接待金华老乡，秦腔专场重点照顾陕西朋友，同时还免费邀请了低保户、社区文艺工作者以及外来务工人员等特定观众观看。
